Nov. 1967	Credit Union was incorporated 11/15/67 as Varian/Bomac Employees FCU
Dec. 1967	First Meeting of Board of Directors
Feb. 1968	First deposits were accepted $867.00 - 88 members
June 1968	$4,000 borrowed from Bailey's Credit Union to loan members.
Dec. 1968	Dividends were declared annually.
May 1969	$10,000 borrowed from Boston Teachers' Credit Union to loan members.
May 1969	Name changed to Varian/Beverly Employees Federal Credit Union
Oct. 1971	First part-time employee hired.
May 1972	Board voted dividends be declared semi-annually
Sept. 1975	Boards voted dividends be declared quarterly.
Sept. 1975	Name changed to Varian/Essex County Federal Credit Union
Nov. 1975	Christmas and vacation clubs started.
Jan. 1976	Extrion Gloucester joined the Credit Union
Jan. 1977	Clinitex joined the Credit Union.
Oct. 1977	Addition of second part-time employee
Sept. 1979	Extrion Woburn joined the Credit Union
May 1980	Loan APR increased to 15%
Mar. 1981	Clinitex Division closed.
June 1981	Credit Union joined Mass Corporate Central
July 1981	Share Certificates started
Feb. 1982	Travelers Checks started
Oct. 1982	Credit Union moved from Building 3 to it's present location.
Nov. 1982	CUNA Mortgages started.
June 1983	First inhouse computer installed.
May 1984	First full-time manager hired
July 1984	New Auto loans started.
April 1985	Name was changed to Varian East Federal Credit Union
Jan. 1996	Name was changed to North Shore Manufacturers Federal Credit Union
Feb. 2002	The Credit Union obtains the domain name "www.nsmfcu.org" and debuts its new website
June 2003	Internet link to Home Financial Services provides members with internet access to their accounts
Oct. 2005	ATM machines installed at CPI and VSEA. User fees waived when using the NSMFCU ATM card.
